Chocolate Lactation Smoothie

I struggled with finding a lactation smoothie that both tasted good and helped boost my milk supply. So I (kinda) created my own! I used a protein shake base that I was already used to drinking, and built upon it by adding ingredients proven to help boost supply. Just like with my cookie recipe, I hate big long stories, so I’ll spare you my story of inspiration for this recipe. Here you go, hope it helps keep your supply up!

Ingredients

1 scoop of PinkStork’s chocolate pregnancy & nursing protein powder (linked here)

1-2 scoops Hershey’s 100-% pure cacao powder

8 oz lactose free milk (can be substituted with almond, soy, oat, or any milk of your choice)

1/2 banana (optional)

1 cup of ice

1 tbsp chocolate brewers yeast (linked here)

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 tsp flax seed

1/2 cup Greek vanilla yogurt

Directions

Combine Pinkstork protein powder, Hershey’s cocoa powder, chocolate brewers yeast, yogurt, and milk in blender. Blend on low for 15-30 seconds. Add in rolled oats and flax seed and blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until oats are mushy and thick. Add ice and banana and blend on high for one minute, add milk until shake is of desired consistency. Serve/drink chilled and consume within one hour.
